Take a break from the responsibilities of work or home.

Divine Visions offers Christian spiritual growth retreats. Those attending the retreat participate in exercises designed to develop awareness, expand consciousness, learn more about yourself and others, understand your meaning and purpose in life and develop a deeper relationship with God as you understand Him.
Divine Visions is intra-denominational, meaning that those who attend Divine Visions come from many different churches and denominations. Our teachings have a sound Biblical foundation but are presented in a nonjudgmental, non-threatening manner. We accept all seekers who want to find their path to transformation, growth and development and a closer walk with God. We have past histories of everything from drug and alcohol abuse, failed marriages, dysfunctional families and many of us has been hurt by organized religion and religious experiences. We feel we are the people that Jesus reached out to who needed healing and now that we have found happiness finally through belief and a committed daily walk with Jesus, we seek to teach others our kind of Jesus and God. A Jesus and God that is forgiving and loving and accepts you where you are and would do anything for you…even die for you.
Example of the Agenda for a Christian Retreat
6-7pm Registration and check in time. Get acquainted.
7-9pm Instructions and explanations of dynamics of the retreat. Introduction to Christian guided meditations. Communion service around campfire. First lesson on Awareness at campfire. Walking meditation. Commitment of silence until next morning.
9-12am Divine Visions uses Christian themes and breaks down scripture into parts and sections. We then discuss these scriptures in expository style which means we discuss the Greek and Hebrew meaning as well as the occasions and situations that were occurring at the historical time of the scripture writings and how they are relevant to our personal life today. Guided meditations that are relevant to the particular section of scripture are provided and then the experience is shared and discussed. This time is dedicated to teaching new skills to aid in the transformation process and to allow the participant to begin to commune with God on a much deeper spiritual level than they ever have before.
12-2pm Lunch. Time to reflect on and process the morning’s exercises and teachings.
2-4pm Continued teachings and guided meditations on the theme of the retreat.
4-5pm Special closing ceremony.
Examples of themes: The Lord’s Prayer, The Gifts of the Spirit; Think on these things (Philippians 4); the Exodus, etc.
Examples of how the themes are used:
Example of the Lord’s Prayer:
The sections or parts might include:
- Our Father who art in heaven
- Hallowed by your name
- Your kingdom come, your will be done on Earth as it is in heaven
- Give us this day our daily bread
- Forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors
- Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.
The guided meditations would follow each section and would focus on the meanings and aspects of a father, an honorable father, what heaven means to each of us, our physical and spiritual needs, forgiveness, and deliverance from evil.
The Experience of the Retreat
The participant usually finds themselves settling down into a restful state and becomes more aware of themselves, their spirituality, their purpose, the meaning of their life and awakens to their potential for self and spiritual growth and development. Most of the time a special bond develops between the participants.
This awakening is available for expansion and growth after the retreat is over by becoming a member of the Divine Visions Online Community. Through the Divine Visions Online website you can read articles, writings and stories that inspire and encourage. You may also listen to daily inspirational “Moments to Ponder”, short 2-3 minute inspirational audio recordings by Dr. Wright.
